Essential Oils

There are so many essential oils on the market right now, it makes it hard to know which ones are the best.  Here are some things to look for:

Quality farming: This means making sure the plants are grown without pesticides, plant up seed down practices, ownership of farms, and ethical farming practices

3rd party testing: This one is important!  You want to find a company that ensures that you are getting the most potent and constituent rich essential oils, while also maintaining safety and purity standards

Foundations: Look for a company that has been in the business for a long time.  A company that has invested years and years into perfecting their craft

Distillation methods: You want to make sure you choose a company that is knowledgeable on the best ways to grow, harvest, and extract essential oils from each individual plant.   A company that uses solvent extraction as their main method will yield a higher quantity of oils (making them cheaper) but they don't have to list extraction methods on the labels...in essence taking one step forward and two steps back if your goal is to rid toxins from your home

Transparency: Make sure you choose a company with an open door policy.  Nothing should be hidden or a secret (barring proprietary information of course).  They should be able to answer your hard questions with educated answers

Now that I have said all that...I realize that not everyone has time to do research like that.  If you want to jump right into essential oils but don't know where to start, click the button below :)  I will help you every step of the way!
